Here is a little trip down memory lane from Falls Fest Idol contest. We do this contest every year to find the one person to OPEN the show. This year's winner was Larissa Probest and man, did she do an amazing job. She sang "I Love Rock N Roll" on the stage and did a great job of welcoming Falls Fest 2008!
We teamed up with all the media in town (including our competitors) and put aside our rivalries for one day to help raise food donations for the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank. We ended up helping to raise 56,000 pounds of food.
92.9 NIN was part of Operation Vaccination this year with Dr. Kevin Gibbs. This is a great program that comes to town twice a year and offers really affordable vaccinations for your pets (hello! for rabies vaccination?!) Dr. Gibbs and his team do a great job. Check them out at www.vaccinateme.org
.02 off per gallon at the 7-11 on Southwest Parkway and Fairway. If you're not a VIP, man, you should be! Our VIP's got the message at noon on the day of the event and by 5:00pm (when the give-a-way started) the line of VIP's was over 1/2 mile long. We pumped gas for 2 hours and never had an open pump! Over 7,000 gallons in 2 hours.
We Visted with Mr. Otis "Ok" Okee from the Harlem Globetrotters. We brought him into the studios and here are some pictures of Mr. Okee with some of the staff
